The active adult builder won four gold awards for: Fifty-Plus Community of the Year for Brookhaven at Sugarloaf, Attached Community of the Year for Brookhaven at Sugarloaf, Best Amenity Package (500 units and above) for their Brookhaven of East Cobb community and Best Building Design, Attached Model, $275,000 to $374,999 for their Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge community. They also won a silver award for Best Sales Center, 599 square feet and under, at Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge. Especially significant about these awards is that Jim Chapman Communities was the first builder to ever receive two Community of the Year awards in the same year for the same community. These recognitions are the highest that can be bestowed upon new home building industry members.

The Sales and Marketing Council of the HBA presents its annual OBIE Awards every November.
