ATLANTA – Dec. 2, 2008 –
Atlanta Woman is proud to name Monica Pearson as its 2009 Power Woman of the Year.
Pearson, the distinguished anchor of WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News, is just as well known for her civic work. She is a tireless volunteer for a number of nonprofits, including the United Way, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Families First, the Northwest Georgia Girl Scouts and Exodus. Every week, this award-winning journalist is reading to first graders at the Lenora P.
