Atlanta Woman celebrates Monica Pearson as its 2009 Power Woman of the Year

The news anchor will be honored for her professional and civic achievements on Jan. 13 at the Georgia Aquarium

 

ATLANTA – Dec. 2, 2008 – Atlanta Woman is proud to name Monica Pearson as its 2009 Power Woman of the Year.

Pearson, the distinguished anchor of WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News, is just as well known for her civic work. She is a tireless volunteer for a number of nonprofits, including the United Way, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Families First, the Northwest Georgia Girl Scouts and Exodus. Every week, this award-winning journalist is reading to first graders at the Lenora P. Miles Elementary School.
