Emily Thomas, President and Chief Operating Officer of Arrow Exterminators since early 2008, will be the keynote speaker at the weekly breakfast meeting of the Buckhead Business Association held on Thursday, December 11, 2008. Arrow is the ninth largest pest control company in the country with revenues exceeding $97 million, over 1,000 team members, and 70 offices operating in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, Texas and Alabama.

A third-generation pest management professional, Thomas joined her family’s company, Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators, after graduating from Vanderbilt University 10 years ago. She has served as Arrow’s President and Chief Operating Officer since 2003.

“Emily Thomas is a recognized leader in the pest control industry, and a role model for many of our members,” notes Peter Rooney, President of the BBA. “Her presentation is titled ‘Successful Growth Strategies in Challenging Economic Times,’ and we look forward to her insights.”

Thomas is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and currently serves on the Board of Directors for St. Jude’s Recovery Center and JumpStart, non-profit organizations based in Atlanta. Additionally, she serves on the National Pest Management Association Board of Directors and is the Chairman of the Professional Women in Pest Management organization.
